I have no idea whether this was just coincidence, or if somebody at BMW planned this out. I’m inclined to believe the former…but I’m not sure which would actually be more amusing. (Thanks to the FAIL Blog for the image.) Of course, this isn’t the first time Audi and BMW have gone head-to-head in the smartass advertising wars. Audi’s Superbowl ad this year fired a nice shot at BMW, of course. But South Africa appears to be the real front line in this war. There was this little beauty after the new M3 came out a couple years ago: And back in 2006, the fight even sucked Subaru and Bentley into the fray.
Now that’s advertising.
